A Dream That Started in Kyiv

Every brand has an origin story. Ours starts in Kyiv, back in 2015, when Yulia first began designing women’s clothing — pieces that felt as comfortable as they looked beautiful. What started small grew into a shop that Yulia poured her whole heart into.

When Everything Changed

In 2022, the war reached our family’s doorstep. Yulia and Kolya made the hardest decision of their lives: to leave Kyiv, and everything they’d built, for the United States. They arrived with far less than they left behind — but they carried the one thing that mattered most: each other.

A New Chapter in Buffalo Grove

By 2023, the family had found their footing in Illinois, and YuNiKo was reborn. Today, our showroom on Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove is where it all comes together — and where our son Nikolas, born right here in the U.S., is growing up alongside the brand.

What’s in a Name?

YuNiKo isn’t just a name we picked — it’s our family, spelled out. YU from Yulia. NI from Nikolas. KO from Kolya. Three names, one dream, stitched into every single piece we make.
