Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what YuNiKo collects when you shop with us, why we need it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

YuNiKo is a family-run women’s clothing boutique based at 1255 W Dundee Rd, Buffalo Grove, Illinois 60089. This policy covers yuniko.us and our customer communication by email and Instagram direct messages.

What we collect

We only collect what an online order actually needs:

  • your name, email address and phone number;
  • the shipping address for your order, and the billing address if it differs;
  • the contents of your order, its status and history;
  • messages you send us about sizing, an exchange or a return;
  • technical data your browser reports: IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you opened on our site.

We do not store your full card number. Payments are processed by Square, and card data goes directly to them.

Why we use it

  • to accept, pack and ship your order, and to keep you posted on it;
  • to answer your questions about fit, availability, exchanges and returns;
  • to process a refund or an exchange within the 14-day window;
  • to keep our accounting and tax records, as US law requires;
  • to see which pages and products people open, so we can improve the shop.

We send promotional emails only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe from any such email, and order-related messages will still reach you.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the companies that help us complete your order, and only to the extent they need:

  • Square — payment processing and our product catalogue;
  • UPS — delivery across the United States;
  • our hosting provider — keeping the website running;
  • analytics services — anonymous statistics about site usage.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our customers.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies to remember your cart, your language choice and your session. Analytics cookies help us understand how the shop is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may stop working correctly.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept as long as accounting and tax rules require. Correspondence about sizing and fit is kept while we are helping you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing emails. Write to yunikous@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we can. Note that we cannot delete data that we are legally required to keep, such as completed order records.

Children

Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page. Please check it from time to time.
